License Agreement

Last updated: 2026-09-24

This is a license agreement between you and Moses Vodounou ("we," "us") for Desktop Cleaner (the "Software"). By installing or using the Software, you accept these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Software.

What the Software Does

Desktop Cleaner scans locations on your Mac for cache files, logs, large files, duplicate files, and leftover application data, and removes items you explicitly select — either by moving them to the Trash, or, for a small number of system-level categories, by deleting them permanently after you approve a macOS administrator password prompt. Exactly what's removed and how is entirely under your control: nothing is selected or deleted without your action. Details on what data the Software reads (and that it collects none of it) are in the Privacy Policy.

License Grant

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on Mac computers you own or control, for as long as you comply with this agreement. The Software is licensed to you, not sold — we and our licensors retain all right, title, and interest in it, including all intellectual property rights. You may not rent, lease, sublicense, or transfer the Software to anyone else, reverse-engineer or decompile it except to the extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction, or remove any copyright or proprietary notices.

License Key and Purchases

Scanning your Mac and reviewing what the Software finds is free, with no license required. Actually removing anything — cleaning, uninstalling, or any other change — requires a paid license key, activated for a specific Mac. Purchases, payment, and refunds are handled entirely by LemonSqueezy, our payment processor and merchant of record; their own terms and refund policy, provided to you at checkout, govern the purchase itself, not this agreement.

Your Responsibility for What Gets Deleted

The Software's entire purpose is deleting files, so please read this section carefully.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Limitation of Liability

Updates

The Software can check for and offer updates (see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that check does and doesn't send). This agreement covers every version of the Software you install, unless a future version presents its own updated agreement.

Termination

This license ends automatically if you violate its terms. You can end it at any time simply by deleting the Software from your Mac. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability — continue to apply after termination.

Export Compliance

You may not use or export the Software in violation of U.S. export laws and regulations, including if you're located in a U.S. embargoed country or are on a U.S. government restricted-parties list.

Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.

Changes to This Agreement

If we make a substantive change to this agreement, we'll treat that as a new version and ask you to agree again. Continuing to use an older version of the Software doesn't require re-agreeing to a newer agreement you were never shown.

Entire Agreement

This is the entire agreement between you and us about the Software, and supersedes any earlier agreements on the same subject. If any part of it is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
